California Dreamin'

By February, we're always ready to escape the NW winter sogginess and find some sunshine. This year (2012) we couldn't swing anything exotic, so we loaded up our little trailer, our flying gear and our snowplay toys and headed to southern California via Yosemite on the way down, and via the Bay Area to visit family on the way home. Our quest for sunshine, airtime and family time was totally successful!

 

Our 35th Anniversary in Victoria BC

We wanted to do something special for our 35th anniversary, but we're short on funds after our huge cross-country road trip in September and October. No worries, it's only a few hours' drive and a short ferry ride from our home to Victoria, British Columbia, where we have a timeshare condo. November weather in Victoria isn't any warmer/sunnier/drier than it is near Seattle, but what the heck, it's new country for us. We had a blast, squeezing in all sorts of outdoor activities in between (or sometimes in the middle of) the rain episodes. This is still a work-in-progress in January 2012, but I hope to get it finished before we set off on our next adventure later this month.
