Four years ago, looking for something special to commemorate our 30th wedding anniversary, George and I "bagged a new continent" by taking a paragliding trip to Chile. It's taken me all this time to get the photos from that fabulous adventure into a scrapbook, but this rainy fall has given me lots of time for doing just that. Here's our first trip to South America – many thanks to Luis and Todd from Atlanta Paragliding for making the paragliding segment a perfect anniversary celebration!
George and I retired from middle-school teaching so we could travel at times other than school vacations. We're loving it! Mostly our destinations are paragliding sites around the country and the world, but occasionally we do take off just for the sheer pleasure of going someplace new. I'm trying to put our adventures online in digital scrapbook form (retirement goal #2: Learn to use Photoshop). Recently I volunteered to be our family archivist, and am sorting through a bazillion jumbled, undated family photos, trying to create a coherent story of Mom's life while she's still around to enjoy and comment on the scrapbook pages as I finish them.
