In February 2010 George and I spent three weeks flying our paragliders, and exploring, in Nepal. What a fantastic trip! Eventually we're going to have a group reunion/photo swap, so I started the scrapbook not at the beginning but with pages where nobody else will have pictures that I might want to include. Parahawking was towards the beginning of the trip, and was definitely one of the highlights of our flying in Nepal. Chitwan National Park was our last adventure; we saw all sorts of jungle-y things that just don't exist on our home continent, outside of zoos. I'll keep adding pages before, between and after what you see here, so check back now and then and watch our adventure unfold.
George and I retired from middle-school teaching so we could travel at times other than school vacations. We're loving it! Mostly our destinations are paragliding sites around the country and the world, but occasionally we do take off just for the sheer pleasure of going someplace new. I'm trying to put our adventures online in digital scrapbook form (retirement goal #2: Learn to use Photoshop). Recently I volunteered to be our family archivist, and am sorting through a bazillion jumbled, undated family photos, trying to create a coherent story of Mom's life while she's still around to enjoy and comment on the scrapbook pages as I finish them.
Wonderful story and use of pictures! Thank you for sharing!
