Escape From the Northwet: Our Spring Road Trip to New Mexico

This blog makes it look like George and I have been doing a whole lot of nothing since last March, but that's not even close to true! Admittedly, we did have the wettest, coldest spring and early summer than either of us can recall, but we still managed to get out and have fun now and then. Just before Memorial Day weekend we'd had enough of the prolonged winter, and blasted out of North Bend for the sunny SW. We'd often been invited by long-time friends to come down to New Mexico for a fly-in, and this seemed the perfect time to take them up on it. We had a blast – but then, after two weeks of hot sunshine, we returned home to the same old weather pattern. We called it June-uary, and it lasted until July 4th.

I actually finished this scrapbook in response to some of my scrapbook group's monthly "challenges" (digitalscrapbookpages.com) – fun tasks that require using a specific quote, or selection of papers, or layout, and that provide a reward of mini-kits of papers and elements to use in future layouts. I'm into freebies, so several of the pages in this "book" were created in response to these challenges. This may be obvious or, hopefully, not very. Here's my take on our 2010 Spring SW adventure.
